The third label from Second Growth producer Chateau Montrose. Showing notes of cedar, cocoa, and a complex mix of red and black fruits on the nose, this third label is a terrific food wine to be paired with hard cheese, game, poultry, and Atlantic white fish. On the palate it clearly presents varieties of currant, cherry, graphite and star anise. Elegant tannins and fresh acidity carry the fruit into a satisfyingly refreshing, long finish. 2014 vintage rated June 3, 2021.
